LUBAO, Pampanga—Following President Duterte’s pronouncement that the war on drugs will be as relentless as before, the police force here scored anew in its campaign against the use and sale of the illegal substance.
Three separate buy-bust operations on Monday (August 13), personally led by Police Senior Inspector Brilliant E. Manlutac, Lubao deputy chief of police, netted three suspected drug pushers, two of whom are women.
Sketchy report reaching the office of Police Superintendent Angelito Esteban, Lubao police chief, revealed the identities of the suspects as Lulu Simon y Sunga, 50 years old, single and resident of Purok 3, Brgy. Sto. Cristo, Guagua, Pampanga; John John Fajardo y Tayag, 49, married and resident of Sitio Centro, Brgy. Sta. Lucia, Lubao, Pampanga; and, Fe Balagtas y De Mesa, 50 years old, married and resident of Purok 1 Brgy. San Pablo, Guagua, Pampanga.
Simon was collared by the Lubao Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) in an operation at Sitio Centro B, Brgy. Sto. Tomas, here while Fajardo and Balagtas were intercepted in buy-busts held in Barangays Sta. Lucia and Sta. Monica, respectively.
Confiscated pieces of evidence from the three suspects were a total of nine pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, including the subjects of sale, and the marked monies used in the operation.
The arrested individuals, who are suspected to be engaged in selling illegal drugs in their place and nearby barangays of this town, will be charged with Violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
