3 ‘Gapo Students, Drug Surrenderer Nabbed for Selling Shabu in Lubao

LUBAO, Pampanga—Three students, including a minor, were arrested for selling drugs at the Traveler’s Stopover in Barangay Sta. Cruz here Monday night.

Supt. Angelito Esteban, Lubao municipal police chief, identified two of the suspects as Farida Cayamola and Nor-Alia Cali, aged 20 and 18 years old, respectively.

Identity of third suspect, who was only 16 years old, was withheld for being a minor.

All of the suspects are residents of Olongapo City, it was learned.

Esteban said the students were collared in buy-bust operation jointly conducted by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Agency and the Lubao municipal police station, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Confiscated from the suspects’ possession were five medium and four small heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu weighing more or less 27 grams and with an estimated street value of P180,000.

Violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Anti-Dangerous Drugs Act will be filed against the suspects.

In another buy-bust operation by the Lubao MPS, a drug surrenderer was netted after selling drugs to a police poseur-buyer on Wednesday (Aug. 1).

Ashley Casupanan y Vitug alias “Ton-ton”, 24, single and a tricycle driver, of Sitio Balut Brgy. Sta. Cruz, this town, was engaged in the proliferation of illegal drugs in their barangay and nearby villages of this municipality.

Police operatives seized from the suspect one large transparent plastic sachet containing five smaller plastic packs containing suspected shabu including subject of sale and the P500 peso bill marked money with serial number DW671376.
