Local Officials redirect their Focus on Livelihood Projects to Augment Family’s Income
As the pandemic on COVID19 caused unemployment to many especially those from the informal sector, our local officials redirect their focus on livelihood projects to augment the family’s income.
Lubao’s home-based sewers are grateful to the provincial government headed by the Hon. Governor Dennis G. Pineda and the Hon. Vice-Governor Lilia G. Pineda and to our honorable Mayor Esmeralda G. Pineda for the provision of livelihood program on “Face Masks Production”. The provincial capitol through its Provincial Manpower Training Center headed by Francis V. Maslog and the LGU Lubao’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO) headed by Raquel R. Lugtu were tasked in the implementation of the project which was worth P500,000.00 for 100,000 pieces face masks. All materials were pre-cut at the PMTC and the labor cost is at P5.00 each. Hundreds of sewers from different towns of Pampanga benefitted from the project, mostly mothers but there were also men and persons with disabilities (PWDs) who took part in the project.
For Lubao, 120 sewers joined in the project and each was paid according to his/her output.
