Lubao hosts 66th Canonical Coronation Anniversary of Virgen Delos Remedios
LUBAO, Pampanga—This town played host to the 66th anniversary of the canonical coronation of the Virgen delos Remedios on September 8, 2022.
Mayor Esmeralda G. Pineda led the local government unit in its preparation for the annual event along with the Archdiocese of San Fernando, Pampanga and the Cruzada de Penitencia y Caridad Pampanga and Parish of St. Augustine of Hippo.
Lubao was chosen as venue of the coronation this year to commemorate the 450th founding anniversary of Christianity in Pampanga.
The event was usually held at the compound of the Provincial Capitol of Pampanga in the City of San Fernando.
Mayor Pineda said the holding of the coronation in the town comes as a blessing especially during this time of the pandemic.
