Dr. Eugene Nicdao, municipal health officer; Rolan Sibug, LNB president; and, Jovy Ivan Matias, Sanitation Officer, spearheaded the distribution.
Some 300 indigents children who are underweight and 30 other who are TB patients benefited from the program.
Mayor Pineda said her thrust in governance is also anchored on health as this encompasses all social concerns.
“When people are sick, they become unproductive. Worse, there are some who, because they need money, do things that are illegal. We need to keep our people healthy to prevent most of the social problems like crimes,” Pineda stressed.
