LUBAO, Pampanga—The new municipal hall in Barangay Sta. Catalina here sparkles each night starting November 29 with the official switch-on of its giant Christmas tree.

Mayor Esmeralda G. Pineda, and guest, Board Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab, led the Christmas decorations lightup and opening of the food bazaar.

Mayor Pineda said the bazaar will be open on evenings of all Fridays and Saturdays of December.

Municipal councilors, led by Vice Mayor Jay Montemayor, municipal department heads and employees, and barangay officials joined hundreds of residents in witnessing the ceremonies highlighted by a five-minute fireworks display.

Mayor Pineda said the food bazaar and Christmas decorations were installed to add fun to Lubeños celebration of the holidays.

The new municipal hall was inaugurated only in December and is celebrating its first Christmas on its new site.

The decoration’s centerpiece is a giant Christmas tree adorned by dozens of yellow star lanterns.

“This is sort of an information campaign about the new location of our municipal hall and a place to visit for our constituents where they can enjoy music and eat their favorite holiday and street foods,” the mayor said.

Aside from the food stalls, the bazaar will also add shops that will sell novelty and other useful items.
